# Velixa > Velixa is booking and business management software for UK salons, barbers, beauty, wellness and other appointment-based businesses, operated by VELIXA APP LTD. Velixa combines online booking, staff diaries, customer records, a hosted business website and an embeddable booking widget. It is software for businesses to manage their own appointments, not a salon or a promise to supply new customers. Appointment bookings save a card through Stripe without taking an appointment payment at booking. On the appointment day the merchant charges the saved card or records cash. Policy-based cancellation or no-show charges are separate and are not guaranteed to succeed. Memberships, packages, gift cards, retail purchases and merchant subscriptions have their own payment flows. The base subscription includes team members. Payment processing, prepaid SMS, Inventory & POS and additional locations have separate charges. Use the current pricing page for amounts, trial terms and exclusions. A card is required for the subscription trial. Domain connection is included; purchasing and renewing a domain are separate.
