1. Who this page is for
This page explains how to delete your Velixa Merchant account and the customer-facing Velixa account, and what happens to the data we hold on you when you do. Velixa is published by Velixa App Ltd, company number 17185369, 60 Tottenham Court Road, Fitzrovia, London, W1T 2EW.
2. Delete your Merchant account from inside the app
If you can still sign in to the Velixa Merchant app or to velixa.co.uk, the fastest way to delete your account is from the dashboard:
- Sign in as the owner of your business (only the owner can delete the account; staff users do not see this option).
- Open Settings from the sidebar, then click the Account info tab.
- Scroll to the red Delete this account card, type
DELETEin the confirmation box, and submit.
This immediately anonymises your merchant account and every staff user on it. Past bookings and payments are kept for our financial records (HMRC requires 6 years) but are detached from your personal information. Active subscriptions are not cancelled automatically — please cancel from Billing → Subscription first if you don’t want to be charged again.
3. Delete your customer account
If you booked an appointment with a Velixa merchant and want to delete the customer account that was created for you, use the website form at velixa.co.uk/account-deletion or email [email protected] from the address registered on your account. We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days.
4. Request deletion by email (if you cannot sign in)
If you have lost access to your account, email [email protected] from the address registered on the account with the subject “Account deletion request”. We will:
- Verify your identity using the registered email and, where needed, additional account details.
- Confirm in writing within 7 days that the request has been received.
- Complete deletion within 30 days.
5. What is deleted
- Your name, email address, phone number and password hash.
- Your profile photo and any photos you uploaded.
- Your saved preferences, addresses and marketing-consent flags.
- Push-notification tokens registered to your devices.
- Stored payment-method references on our side. Card numbers are never stored on Velixa servers in any case — they are tokenised by Stripe.
6. What is kept and why
UK law (HMRC and the Money Laundering Regulations) requires us to retain certain transactional records even after an account is deleted. We minimise these and never use them for marketing:
- Booking and payment records are anonymised — your name, email and phone are removed and replaced with “Deleted customer”, but the booking date, service, price, refund history and any disputes are kept for 6 years.
- Invoices and tax records are kept for 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year.
- Fraud, abuse and security logs (sign-in IP addresses, blocked-attempt logs) are kept for up to 12 months.
7. Third parties
Where data has been shared with our processors (for example Stripe for payments, Twilio/SMS-providers for booking reminders, our email provider for transactional email), we instruct each processor to delete or anonymise the data on the same timeline. Their own retention obligations under financial-services or anti-fraud law may apply — see each processor’s privacy policy for detail.

9. Request deletion from this page
If you would prefer not to email us, you can submit a deletion request below. We will treat the request the same way: confirm receipt by email within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days.
